FAQ

  • What makes ORE irons different?

ORE irons are one-piece forged golf irons made from raw 1020 carbon steel.

Unlike mass-produced cavity backs or hollow designs, ORE blades use:

    Traditional muscle-back blade geometry

    Minimalist, angular shaping

Progressive mass placement for a penetrating, players-style ball flight

A completely raw finish with no chrome, paint, or plating

They’re built for golfers who prefer feel over forgiveness and want maximum feedback from every strike.

  • Are ORE irons raw? Will they rust or darken over time?

Yes — ORE irons are true raw golf irons with no plating.

They will naturally darken, patina, wear where you strike the ball, and develop a unique finish based on your swing and conditions

    This is intentional.

Raw blade irons provide more tactile feel at impact and visually reflect your improvement over time.

Many players specifically search for raw blade irons because they want this honest, evolving surface.

  • Who are ORE blade irons designed for?

ORE blades are crafted for golfers who prefer:

    Precision over forgiveness

    Feedback over filters

    Traditional forged feel

    Players-style blade irons

    Workability and control

If you’re searching for premium golf irons, muscle-back irons, or tour-inspired blade irons, ORE is built for you.

We do not make game-improvement irons.

ORE is for golfers who want the truth in the strike.

  • How are ORE irons made?

Each head goes through a multi-stage, small-batch manufacturing process:

    1. One-piece forging from 1020 carbon steel

    2. CNC milling of faces, lines, and geometries

    3. Hand finishing of every edge and surface

    4. Raw, unplated, and blued finish for maximum responsiveness and corrosion resistance

    5. Assembly in the USA with premium shafts and grips

This combination of forging, milling, and hand-finishing gives ORE irons the feel of high-end boutique blades with the precision of modern machining.

  • What is the purpose of the progressive mass distribution?

ORE irons place more weight higher on the back of the clubhead compared to traditional muscle-backs.
    This design produces:

Lower, more penetrating ball flight in short irons

    More stability through impact

Consistent launch and control in longer irons

Golfers searching for low-launch blade irons or players irons with controlled trajectory will find this design especially rewarding.

  • Will you offer custom builds or fitting options?

For our inaugural run of irons — customization will be limited, but not absent.

To keep this first run truly small-batch and hand-built, ORE irons will come standard with Dynamic Gold S300 shafts, the classic choice for forged blade irons. Full shaft customization will expand in future runs once preorder volume supports flexible ordering from True Temper.

For grips, every set will come standard with ORE genuine leather grips (artisan wrapped)

Custom length adjustments can be made during assembly.

Other build variations may be available for an additional charge and extended lead time.

Because this inaugural run is a serialized, limited-run release, head-only sets will not be offered for this batch.

ORE remains a small-batch, hand-built premium iron brand, and offerings will expand as production scales.

  • Care for Raw Forged Irons

ORE irons feature a raw, unplated forged finish. Raw forged irons require simple upkeep and will naturally change over time.

Wipe clubs dry after each round

Apply a light coat of oil occasionally

    Expect natural rusting and darkening

Store clubs in a dry environment

Patina and wear patterns are normal and are part of the character of raw forged steel.

  • Care for ORE Leather Grips

    Care for ORE Leather Grips

ORE leather grips are made from genuine leather and will naturally break in and develop character with use.

    Basic care is straightforward:

Wipe grips clean with a dry or lightly damp cloth as needed

Allow grips to dry fully before storing

Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive moisture

Periodically apply a light leather conditioner if grips begin to feel overly dry
    (we recommend Smith’s Leather Balm)

If wiping with a damp cloth does not restore tackiness to your satisfaction, a pine rosin product such as Pelican Bat Wax (stick) may be used sparingly.

With normal use, the leather will soften, darken slightly, and conform to your hands. This is expected and part of the grip’s character over time.

  • Use and Care Notice

Golf clubs should be used only for their intended purpose and inspected periodically for signs of wear or damage.

Discontinue use of any club showing evidence of cracking, separation, or other structural issues. Proper care and storage will help ensure longevity and performance.

Alteration or misuse may affect performance and safety.

    Grip Finish and Materials

ORE Foundry Leather grips are finished by hand prior to shipment using natural leather conditioners and tackifying agents. These products may contain natural oils, waxes, or resins. If you have known skin sensitivities or allergies, please review the FAQ or contact us prior to order.
